Zit Farm

I'm a zit farm.

I had a few clear face days last week. When I say "clear" I mean a face clear of 'active zits'. I still have scars from zits of a few weeks past but hey, scars are easier to cover up than zits.

On Friday I welcomed a new large zit that manifested over the weekend. Today at work, after my 10th pee of the morning, I noticed 3 more little painful ones coming in on my cheeks. I have so loved all the parts of my pregnancy, even the hip pain and the enlarged ass, but the zits are making me mad. You wanna know what the "pregnancy glow" really is? The shine from a pregnant woman's oily zit producing face. I'm not kidding.

I researched what to do when you're pregnant and breaking out and it's the same old standard stuff.

  1. Wash your face in the morning and the evening with a mild soap
  2. Don't scrub your face
  3. Use water based make-up, not oil
  4. Use oil-free face lotion
  5. Pat your face dry, don't rub
  6. Don't pop, squeeze or irritate your zits

I've done all these. I even went out and bought a gentle face cleanser cloth to use just before bed so I'm sure I'm keeping my skin fresh. It's not working. Getting rid of zits is just impossible. I hope this is a passing pregnancy symptom. I've always had pretty good skin and so this particular symptom is really hurting my feelings.
