Yesterday I had a small baby shower with family and some old family friends. It was so nice and special! It was wonderful to have the ladies of our family there and to have the Tia's (Tia's = All the Moms of my playmates from childhood who still hang out -- The most senior of all "Moms Groups", if you will.) and their daughters there too.
Anyway -- the food was amazing (strawberries and mini cupcakes were in my top two favorites on the menu!). We opened gifts -- thanks to every ones kindness our child will now be clean, clothed, safe and very well read. In lieu of traditional games I had to answer some very challenging motherhood questions. I think I did pretty decent on the questions! I did miss the one about the largest human baby ever born (I can't even remember the weight but the poundage was appalling) and the one about the most children born to one uterus (another appalling number that I can't remember - thank God)
Eric's Mom & Dad gave us the Nursery Bedding set to go with the crib that my Mom & Dad gave us. The bedding set is the most important decorating piece of the nursery since it carries the theme of our nursery on it's shoulders. I was squealing with joy when I opened it. Can't WAIT to get it all set up!
Eric's promised to have the nursery up and running by June 28th so you can count on pictures then!
